Entertaining in the Bathroom

You read that right – entertaining. In the bathroom. No, I am not out of my mind.

As a matter of fact, turning your bathroom into a fun and hip environment is one of today’s most popular design trends. And while I would not necessarily recommend you use the room as a dance floor or a dining area, you should still consider designing it in such a way that guests wouldn’t mind spending an extra few minutes getting comfortable in there. In other words, your bathroom shouldn’t be all business – it should be enjoyable and exciting, too!

So, how does one bring about this metamorphosis? How might you transform an ordinary, mundane bathroom into a dramatic or at least absorbing entertainment hub? Other companies develop and distribute hilarious toilet seat covers with witty one liners or funny, creepy insignia (one of my favorites makes your toilet look like some sort of monster, complete with evil eyes and a drooling tongue… hanging out beneath the seat!).

If kitsch and quirk aren’t exactly your style, that’s absolutely fine (and, honestly, you’re probably more sane for it). It’s still easy to turn your bathroom into an elegant and entertaining space.
